Arcachon, sparkling and dynamic
Arcachon is located in the southwest of France, in the Gironde. Situated on the banks of the basin that bears its name, the Pereire brothers were responsible for the creation of the winter town in 1862 and its success as a tourist destination. Nestled between the moors and the ocean, it enjoys a setting where life is good. Arcachon is above all an exceptionally rich natural heritage, rocked by the wind and the tides, where authenticity reigns supreme. Its large basin offers a unique playground for all types of sports. Numerous must-see sites are nearby, including the Dune du Pilat, the wild coastline of the Cap Ferret peninsula, the Ile aux Oiseaux and its two "tchanquées" huts, the oyster farming villages, etc. As a bonus, there is no need for a car, at least for those who like cycling, as there are more than 200km of cycle paths available.
Buying a second home in
Arcachon
The property market is both dynamic and very tight. This applies to both the transaction and rental markets. Sales are therefore very fast. Today, the garden, the terrace or the balcony have become indispensable for buyers. In 2021, the price per square metre for the town of Arcachon reached 7,000 euros per square metre compared to an average of 4,300 euros per square metre in Gironde. Recently in the Moulleau district, a 65 m² house on 400 m² of land sold for around a million euros. A lot of sales are made by word of mouth.
